Statutory responsibility for Town Council finances rests with the Council as a whole

Bridgend Town Council is committed to the effective management of the Town Council finances and recognise that it is vital to obtain good value for money on behalf of local residents. This is achieved through adopting a set of financial regulations and internal controls to govern the administration of Town Council finances and by conducting quarterly budget reviews and an annual internal and external audit.

Bridgend Town Council Finance Committee meet bimonthly, and receives detailed financial information that is scrutinised and discussed at committee meetings and provided to Full Council.
