Bridgend Town Council holds meetings on a regular basis
In addition to meetings of Full Council, the Council can also have some of its functions, exercised by a committee (Local Government Act 1972, s101); however, there are some exceptions.
Legislation requires that certain statutory functions of a local council are discharged by the Council itself. This means, for example that a local council cannot delegate responsibility to a committee (or sub-committee) for:

Each committee has delegated statutory powers and functions as set out in the Bridgend Town Council Committee Terms of Reference.
All Council meetings are conducted in accordance with the approved Standing Orders and Financial Regulations of Bridgend Town Council.
A schedule of Full Council and committee meetings is shown below. Please note that there is a Council recess during the month of August and meeting dates may be subject to change. Extra-ordinary meetings of Council may be called during the year.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, meetings are currently held remotely using Microsoft Teams.
