Community Room Hire
Bridgend Town Council currently has one venue available for private room hire; Carnegie House Art Centre located in the heart of Bridgend Town Centre.
Carnegie House comprises of two floors. The ground floor is primarily allocated for arts and cultural uses, exhibitions, and educational activities. The ground floor hall is equipped with professional sound and lighting systems available to hire. The building is accessible with ramps and a lift providing access to disabled toilets on the second floor. Carnegie House is the ideal location for arts and cultural events, creative workshops, conferences and important meetings.
In Spring 2023 Bridgend Town Council will be opening a second venue for community hire once refurbishment projects are complete at the new Town Hall (former Ty’r’Ardd building).
The Town Hall is located at Sunnyside and will house the main Town Council offices and Council Chamber. There will be two large rooms available for room hire which will be ideal for community groups and workshops. The Town Hall will benefit from outside parking and an outside garden area. The Town Hall is on a single level and is fully accessible.

Carnegie House is easy to find. It is situated in the middle of Wyndham Street in the former Public Library building.
By Car Carnegie House is just 10 minutes from Junction 36 off the M4. Follow the signs for Bridgend Town Centre. Please note the Carnegie House is in a pedestrianised area of Bridgend Town Centre and has restricted access for vehicles.
The Embassy Car Park is the nearest car park to the venue. It is located just off the A4061 and is accessed via Brewery Lane. Access to the Town Centre is provided via a footbridge which leads onto Dunraven Place.
Carnegie House is within a 5 minute walk of Bridgend bus station and Bridgend train station.
Access / Dropping off Equipment
Vehicles can only access the town before 10am and after 6pm, equipment can be loaded and unloaded outside the building at these times only.
