Bridgend Town Council organise a range of Christmas events in the local wards of Morfa, Newcastle and Oldcastle and in Bridgend Town Centre.

Over the years we have held a variety of Christmas events in our community:

  • We have gone through the eras with Victorian and Wartime Christmas events and markets on Wyndham Street.
  • Carnegie House has been transformed in previous years into a Santa’s Grotto and Craft Fayre with the Bridgend Lions.
  • We have shared with the community a vibrant array of Christmas crafts, events, and activities as part of our Carnegie House Autumn Programme.

In 2021 Santa visited our local community on the Bridgend Brass Band bus, bringing festive cheer to our residents in Morfa, Oldcastle and Newcastle Wards. Carnegie House transformed into Elf HQ and our Bridgend Reindeer Trail took participants on an exciting Christmas trail around the Town centre.

Bridgend Town Council work in partnership with Bridgend County Borough Council to deliver the Christmas Light Switch On event in the town centre, providing the installation of the Christmas lights and trees throughout the town centre and its wards.
